The San Joaquin Valley is particularly beautiful this year as the valley absorbs Sierra snowmelt. We have really nice drives in the country and foothills here. So I took Toby, who had his first ride in the restored Sunchaser.
One of my favorite drives is Highway 168 east out of Fresno, through Clovis, and toward Huntington Lake. You can split off in a few different spots to create variety, but every variation has fun curves and beautiful scenery. I did not take many photos because I was driving, but here are a few.
Toby really hated these cows.
As a bonus, when we got out to walk, I saw a nice Subie.
This was a good birthday.

I was really surprised how beatiful the interior of California is. You always here about the beach, but driving through north and eastern California it’s all beautiful and very diverse ecologically.
Here’s some pics I took. Although a few of the desert one’s may actually be Nevada.
I’m 90% sure this one’s California.
This one was in or right before death valley

I’ve taken Coal on many a drive and he always finds some sort of animal to growl at. Hope you enjoyed your birthday.
